These Terms and Conditions explain the rules for using our website and renting a scooter from Joy Scooter Rental Split. By making a booking request, confirming a rental or using our scooter rental service, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Rental service
Joy Scooter Rental Split offers Vespa GTS 125 scooter rental in Split, Croatia.
Our scooters are available for 12-hour, daily and multi-day rental, depending on availability.
A booking is not confirmed automatically by submitting a form. Your booking is confirmed only after we check availability and confirm the rental details with you.
3. Booking
You can request a booking through:
our website form,
WhatsApp,
Viber,
phone,
email.
When making a booking request, you may be asked to provide:
full name,
contact details,
rental dates,
preferred scooter model,
driving licence information,
other details needed for the rental.
Joy Scooter Rental Split reserves the right to accept or reject a booking request depending on scooter availability, rental conditions and safety requirements.
4. Rental prices
Rental prices are shown on our website and may depend on the rental period.
Current rental options may include:
12 hours,
1–3 days,
5–7 days,
7–15 days,
longer rental on request.
Prices may change depending on season, availability or special arrangements.
The final rental price will be confirmed before the rental starts.
5. What is included
Unless stated otherwise, every rental includes:
2 helmets,
basic insurance,
unlimited kilometers,
basic support during the rental period.
Fuel is not included in the rental price.
6. Fuel policy
The scooter should be returned with the same fuel level as at pickup.
If the scooter is returned with less fuel, an additional charge may apply.
7. Driving licence and age requirements
The renter must have a valid driving licence for a 125 cc scooter.
The renter is responsible for making sure their licence is valid and accepted in Croatia.
Joy Scooter Rental Split may refuse rental if the renter does not provide a valid driving licence or if the licence is not suitable for the rented scooter.
The renter may also be asked to provide a valid ID card or passport.
8. Pickup and return
Scooter pickup and return are arranged at:

The renter must return the scooter at the agreed date, time and location.
If the renter is late, they must contact Joy Scooter Rental Split as soon as possible.
Late return may include an extra charge, especially if it affects the next booking.
9. Deposit
A security deposit may be required before the rental starts.
The deposit amount and payment method will be confirmed before pickup.
The deposit may be used to cover:
damage to the scooter,
missing equipment,
traffic or parking fines,
late return charges,
fuel differences,
other costs caused during the rental period.
If there are no extra costs, the deposit will be returned according to the agreed payment method and timing.
10. Use of the scooter
The renter agrees to use the scooter carefully, safely and responsibly.
The renter must:
follow Croatian traffic laws,
wear a helmet,
use the scooter only on public roads where scooter use is allowed,
keep the scooter locked and parked safely when not in use,
take care of the scooter and equipment,
contact Joy Scooter Rental Split in case of any problem.
The renter must not:
drive under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any substance that affects driving ability,
drive without a valid licence,
allow another person to drive the scooter without approval,
use the scooter for racing, stunts or dangerous driving,
drive off-road,
use the scooter for illegal activity,
transport more people than allowed,
ignore traffic laws or police instructions.
11. Insurance
Basic insurance is included with the rental.
Basic insurance usually covers third-party liability in accordance with applicable Croatian rules and insurance terms.
Damage to the rented scooter caused by the renter may not be fully covered by basic insurance. The renter may be responsible for damage, excess, repair costs or other costs depending on the situation and rental terms.
Insurance does not apply in situations such as:
driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs,
driving without a valid licence,
reckless or dangerous driving,
allowing an unauthorized person to drive,
leaving the scene of an accident,
not reporting an accident,
breaking these Terms and Conditions,
using the scooter outside agreed conditions.
If an accident happens, the renter must contact Joy Scooter Rental Split immediately.
Some Croatian scooter rental companies explain basic insurance as third-party coverage, while damage to the rented scooter can remain the renter’s responsibility. This is why the exact rental terms should always be checked before pickup.
12. Data security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, loss, misuse or disclosure.
However, no website or online communication system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
13. Your rights
Under applicable data protection rules, you may have the right to:
request access to your personal data,
request correction of inaccurate data,
request deletion of your data,
request restriction of processing,
object to processing,
withdraw consent where processing is based on consent,
request data portability,
lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
In Croatia, the supervisory authority for data protection is the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP).
